A modern hotel in the Renaissance City? Thanks to local architect Claudio Nardi, that’s not an oxymoron. Among the faux-Renaissance palazzos, with their heavy draperies and ornate furnishings, Riva Lofts is a breath of fresh air.
Slightly further from the centre of the city lies Riva Lofts — potentially Florence’s chicest hotel. Located right by the river, Riva Lofts is impossibly fashionable and completely design-centric whilst still maintaining a personal, bed and breakfast-like feeling. The brainchild of architect Claudio Nardi, each room is unique in its design, but common threads like concrete and loft ceilings maintain a sense of continuity.
The apartments are designed to be both photogenic and relaxing, a combination of modern lines and rich history.
